They worked to restore ecosystems, improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities, and advance equity in vaccine science. From representing Canada in the Paralympic Games to designing tools for children’s rehabilitation, McMaster students achieved incredible milestones.

Thanks to generous supporters, the sky’s the limit for our students as they create a brighter future for us all. Here’s a glimpse at some of the remarkable moments and accomplishments donor support made possible this year.

Honouring her parents through a student bursary

For 10 years now, Sayma Hai has made an annual donation to a bursary she established to support McMaster medical students with financial need.

RALPH PUDRITZ:
Expanding access to physics and astronomy research

Professor Ralph Pudritz makes an annual gift to the Physics & Astronomy Research Experience Award Fund, which provides research and mentorship opportunities to racialized, Black and Indigenous students.

“I’m one of a number of people who have donated to this fund over a number of years and we hope to keep it growing. It’s really about giving people access, involvement and experience with the university and the department that they might otherwise not have.”   – Ralph Pudritz
